This school is out to get me

After feeling like the disorganization and chaos of this school were starting to ebb, I am once again annoyed with Case. Taking the doctor's orders about my back, I went to Veale this morning to try to do some weight lifting and strengthen my back muslces. When I got to the weight room (which is actually 3 rooms), I asked a girl at a desk where the locker room was so I could put some shorts on. The locker room is located nowhere near the weight room and the directions she gave me seemed so complicated that it just didn't seem worth it. So after doing a few exercises with some hand weights, I start walking around looking for a machine that would specifically target my back. After looking around for it for what seemed like forever, I found a girl was using it. I decided to look around at what other machines were there that I could use in the meantime. I had no clue how most of the machines worked, and the few that I did know had huge weights on them that would require a body builder to remove. What also really sucked was that there were no mats that I could have used for stretches, crunches and pushups. So in my frustration I left vowing never to return to that horrible place.

I've been really annoyed by a lot of things lately. I've been receiving almost daily phone calls from some debt collection agency for at least the past month. On Thursday, I was actually home to answer one of these calls and for the first time there was an actually person at the other end. This company is trying to collect a $700-something debt from Jennifer L. Tobin for her Capital One account. I repeatedly told the guy on the phone that they have the wrong person. The middle initial is wrong, the bday is wrong, the address is wrong, I don't even have a Capital One credit card. I told them never to call back, and I've now decided that if they ever call again I will inform them that I am contacting my attorney and filing a lawsuit for harassment. Grr.p

My landlord is also pissing me off. I've been freezing my ass off with minimal to no heat in my apartment all autumn. I called him on Friday, and he stopped by while I was at class that day to look around and make sure my storm windows were shut, etc. He left me a note saying that the heat in my apartment and the rest of the building works great but that my living room windows were slightly cracked open. What the hell is he smoking? By what standards is the heat working great??? I have no heat! Did he bother to feel the radiators and notice they were cold? Did he bring a thermometer with him to notice if the temp was below 68 degrees. I am so sick of this shit, I bought my own thermometer over the weekend and I plan to take regular readings with it to show that the temperature in here is often in the lower 60s. Once I have some hard evidence, I am considering threatening to withhold my December rent until the temperature in here is 68!

Thanks, Nausheen. I have a space heater at my parent's house and I've considered bringing it here, but that means that I will be paying for the heat in my electric bill instead of my landlord paying for it.
